From September 25th to 27th, 2024, the third edition of The District, the largest real estate investment conference in Europe, was held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía. This event, which brought together more than 12,000 executives and professionals from 30 countries, generated a great economic impact in the city. During the three days, investors, banking entities and representatives of the public and private sectors discussed current and future trends in the global real estate market, focusing especially on sustainability and the housing crisis.
One of the central themes was the need to promote affordable housing through public-private collaborations. Real estate macrotrends for 2025 were also anticipated, evaluating the performance of the first half of the year and future projections. The congress was attended by international delegations from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Greece and Bulgaria, which presented ambitious projects within the framework of economic diversification and the digitalisation of the real estate sector. Saudi Arabia, in particular, stood out for its commitment to the transformation of Real Estate, linked to its economic modernization plan.

Thanks to Nebext, the congress producer, Fluge Barcelona supplied a wide audiovisual display, covering various areas and auditoriums of the event with cutting edge video, sound and lighting solutions.
Four projectors were installed in the BADI Main Auditorium: two of them dedicated to blending on a main screen measuring 11 x 3 meters, while the other two projected on side screens to offer full visibility to the entire audience. In addition, two 3×2 meter LED screens were placed on both sides of the stage to reinforce the visual content. The audiovisual production was supported by a three-camera system, which allowed images of the event to be captured and transmitted in real time. In terms of sound, the room and stage monitors were equipped with a 12-channel RF system. The auditorium lighting was designed to cover all the needs of both the stage and the audience.
In the AEDAS HOMES, Cushman & Wakefield and JLL auditoriums, Fluge Barcelona provided a projector for the central screen of each room, accompanied by two lateral LED screens to ensure that the content was visible from any angle. The sound in these rooms was also covered with a system that included up to 8 RF channels, and the lighting was adjusted to provide adequate coverage for both the audience and the speakers on stage.

In the Congress Area, a 5×3-meter LED screen was installed, which stood out as the main visual support. The lighting in the hall of the congress area was designed to offer an appropriate ambiance for the visitor activities and circulation.
At the entrance to the congress, Fluge Barcelona supplied an 8×3.5-meter LED portico that welcomed the participants with a striking and modern visual display. This portico had integrated sound, facilitating the transmission of messages and announcements at the entrance.

Finally, at the Leadership Summit, an 85-inch television was used and the sound in the room was carefully adjusted to provide a clear and immersive listening experience. This equipment ensured that the congress was held at the highest technical level, in line with the expectations of an event of this magnitude.
