Barcelona vibrated last Saturday, May 17th, with the unmistakable energy of Estopa, who returned to the Parc del Fòrum to headline the opening day of the Maleducats Festival. Among 15,000 people, according to promoter, The Project, the Muñoz brothers performed their only concert in Catalonia in 2025, showcasing a “festival repertoire” that spanned more than two decades of hits and communion with the audience.
The concert kicked off with classics like “Tu calorro” and “Cacho a cacho,” setting the festive and nostalgic tone for the evening. Far from a lighthearted performance, Estopa performed with a full band and a setlist of about twenty songs that ranged from rockers (“Vacaciones” and “Tragicomedia”) to intimate ballads like “Ya no me acuerdo” (I Don’t Remember Anymore), accompanied by the flamenco guitar of Juan Maya.
One of the most special moments was the flamenco-rumba section, with the musicians seated in a semicircle, percussionist Anye Bao on the cajón, and flamenco singer Chonchi Heredia enchanting the stage. The nod to Los Chichos and El Pescaílla, and the surprise corrido Juan Charrasqueado, added depth to an already vibrant show.
