THE DISTRICT held its fifth edition from 22 to 24 September, marking its first year in Madrid. The event brought together thousands of professionals and representatives from international companies at IFEMA MADRID for three days of talks, networking and business opportunities. The move to the Spanish capital marked the beginning of a new chapter for the event, with an extensive programme spread across multiple venues and auditoriums.
Organised by NEBEXT, THE DISTRICT has established itself as one of Europe’s leading forums for real estate capital and investment. THE DISTRICT 2026 welcomed 17,589 executives, a 21% increase on the previous edition, and featured more than 450 international experts. Sessions explored trends across residential, office, hotel, retail, healthcare, logistics, data centre and alternative asset markets, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence, sustainability and emerging technologies on the sector’s development.

One of the key pillars of the programme was The District World Summit, which took place across five auditoriums running simultaneously, alongside specialised vertical forums. The programme was complemented by strategic meetings, professional gatherings and networking activities designed to connect funds, companies, investors and other international stakeholders.
Thanks to the trust placed in Fluge Audiovisuales Barcelona by NEBEXT, Fluge Audiovisuales was responsible for the complete technical production of THE DISTRICT 2026, supplying and delivering the sound, lighting, video, staging, streaming and audiovisual design solutions required for the congress.

The project also included the development of technical solutions for the event’s various stands and spaces, with particular emphasis on the audiovisual installations across the auditoriums. These were designed to host the simultaneous presentations, panel discussions and professional sessions that made up the programme for the event’s first edition in Madrid.
