The 72nd edition of the Ondas Awards took place on November 26 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, in a gala that once again brought together leading figures from radio, television, and music. The iconic Barcelona theater served as the setting for an evening dedicated to recognizing excellence in communication and cultural creation.

This year, more than 540 entries from up to 18 countries were submitted, with radio, television, music, and digital content projects competing across national and international categories. Among the most notable award recipients were programs such as Versió RAC1 and Cafè d’idees in radio, the television series Celeste, Querer, and Pubertat, as well as personalities such as journalist Isaías Lafuente and broadcaster El Gran Wyoming in career and presenter categories.

The awards ceremony also featured musical performances that provided the soundtrack for the evening. Pastora Soler, honored with the Ondas Award for Musical Career, delivered one of the standout moments with her voice, while Viva Suecia opened the gala with a rendition of Mediterráneo that set the tone for the event. Acceptance speeches also drew attention, with emotional and thought-provoking messages highlighting the importance of communication and culture.

With this new edition, the Ondas Awards continue to be one of the most important events on Spain’s audiovisual calendar. The gala reaffirmed the impact of radio, television, and music on society and underscored the diversity of voices and projects shaping the current landscape.
